Additionally, it is critical that this individual possesses the personality and desire to work with and grow a socially responsible, mission-driven organization.\n\n*The Position*\n\nReporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller’s mission is to streamline CTC’s accounting, budgeting, and financial management processes. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst with proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a senior role. In addition to financial status reporting to executive leadership, and driving improvements in CTC’s operational efficiency, the ideal candidate will have experience supporting the controls and compliance requirements associated with CTC’s public sector customers.\n\n*Objectives of this Role*\n\n* Evaluate, improve, and maintain existing financial management processes and procedures\n* Develop, implement, and maintain new financial processes, reports, and controls, as needed\n* Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management following the reporting, evaluation, and analysis of appropriate financial and operational data\n* Guide financial decisions by evaluating company objectives and current and projected economic conditions\n* Manage operations to budget, driving associated scheduling, analysis, and corrective action\n* Maximize financial efficiency through innovative process development\n* Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies\n\n*Daily and Monthly Responsibilities*\n\n* Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems\n* Ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements, as well as the requirements of government contracts\n* Maintain internal safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs control, and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures\n* In conjunction with the CFO and COO, establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis\n* Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs\n* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements by remaining knowledgeable about existing, new, and emerging requirements\n* Develop and enforce internal controls and workflow to protect company assets, policies, and procedures\n* Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity\n\n*Skills and Qualifications*\n\n* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field\n* 10+ years proven accounting experience (5+ years’ experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager preferred)\n* Professional accounting certification, including CMA, CGA, or CA (CPA preferred)\n* Strong understanding of economic and banking processes\n* Proven experience implementing streamlining accounting processes\n* Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP)\n* Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting\n* Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis\n* Experience working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple deadlines\n* A desire to work for a mission-driven organization that prioritizes making an impact alongside generating profits\n* Experience working in Certinia a plus\n\n*About the Company*\n\nCTC is an established 40-year-old, woman-owned consulting firm that’s in the midst of experiencing massive growth as clients large and small seek our help to guide them through this seminal moment in the history of broadband deployment where Congress has appropriated tens of billions of dollars to deploy broadband and connect low-income households to the modern economy.\n\nCTC delivers best-in-class business and engineering consulting services to state and local governments, federal government agencies, and nonprofit partners.
