Doors can be rusty and heavy, the use of the entire body is essential to avoid bodily injury. Safety practices must be adhered to.\nSweeping of Containers\nDriver must ensure all containers that are delivered to customers are clean of any debris. This can be repetitive in nature. Driver may be required to climb into container and utilize a broom and dust pan to clean container.\nProperly cranking landing gear on chassis up/down\nThis is repetitive in nature and requires stooping.\nProperly attaching air/brake hoses\nThis is repetitive in nature. Driver is required to climb up/down catwalk of tractor utilizing safety practices and guidelines to attach and detach lines.\nMay fill truck with oil, fuel and radiator fluid.\nMaintain HOS (Hour of Service) log in accordance to state and federal regulations – 49 CFR Part 395.\nMaintain and provide record on driver’s street sheet for equipment transported from the Port of Los Angeles/Long Beach, customer locations, and service center (CFS).\nObtain customer’s signature for proof of delivery and/or pickup, as required.\nMaintain radio or telephone contact with dispatcher or supervisor to receive instructions or to be dispatched to a new location.\nMust maintain familiarity with and follow all Federal, State, and Local commercial driving regulations.\nComply with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and local addendums.\nComply with all company safety policies, work rules, and corporate policies\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\nAble to competently perform job duties described above\n2+ years’ experience as commercial driver required\nMust have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with hazardous materials, tankers, and triples endorsements\nMust have a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate\nMust have and maintain a valid Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)\n\nPhysical Capabilities Required:\n\nAble to safely execute duties stated above.\nAble to repetitively lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds.\n\nBackground Checks\n\nDrug Testing\n\nDriving Record Review\n\nThe above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
