{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"4350f7015fecd9976ab36d3e","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/4350f7015fecd9976ab36d3e","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/4350f7015fecd9976ab36d3e","title":"Traffic Control Operator","description":"JOB DESCRIPTION: Traffic Control Operator Non-Exempt\nJOB SUMMARY: Safely and efficiently controls movement of traffic through paving construction projects.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (will include but not limited to):\nFollows direction from Libs Paving Management team as well as Superintendent, Supervisor or Lead man.\nSafely and effectively distributes traffic control signs, traffic cones, markers, and other warning devices along job site.\nEnsures site safety by installing barricades, as necessary.\nDirects movement of traffic through and around job site, using sign, hand, and flag signals.\nWarns paving construction operators when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury to workers.\nInforms drivers of detour routes through construction sites.\nRecords license number of traffic control violators for police.\nUses radios to communicate with job supervisor and other flaggers positioned at different spots along paving construction site.\nMust be able to stand for extended periods of time in various climate conditions.\nPerforms daily and weekly maintenance and inspections of assigned pieces of flagging equipment.\nTakes necessary precautions to ensure job is being done in the safest manner possible.
