Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you’ll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nCross-train through the department to learn hands-on skills related to industrial/engineering technologies\nIdentify, evaluate, and recommend cost saving opportunities by identifying process, quality and safety related improvement projects\nWork closely with other on the CMC Team work on process improvement initiatives & projects\nPresentation/Report on an improvement project at the end of internship\nAbility to troubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with others\nParticipate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture\nWhat You'll Need\nMust possess a strong interest in Industrial Engineering Technologies and be enrolled at Junior/Senior level education\nAble to work a flexible schedule to include 40 hour work weeks during summer (June-August)\nAble to work independently, take initiative and drive for results with minimal supervision\nKnowledge of processes in Microsoft windows, engineering software such as Auto CAD and Solid Works\nAbility to understand and apply ISO work instructions and standard operating practices and procedures\nAbility to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces\nPush and pull up to 90 lbs and carry 50 lbs\nStrong communication skills required. Must read, speak and understand English language in verbal and written communication\nPrevious internship experiences preferred\nYour Education\nCurrently enrolled in an Industrial Engineering or Operations Management program.
