Java Full Stack","description":"Job Description: This program provides IT services focused on building, securing, and operating the Department of Veteran Affairs LGY's home loan product-line technology.\r\nThe contract's purpose is to modernize and sustain critical home loan technology systems that support LGY's delivery of mortgage-related services to program stakeholders, to provide continuous delivery and security integration.\r\nWe are seeking a Java / Full Stack Engineer with experience (or strong interest) in mortgage and fintech platforms to build and enhance scalable, secure, and compliant digital lending solutions.\r\nThis role will focus on developing end-to-end systems that support loan origination, servicing, portfolio management, and financial data workflows.\r\nYou will collaborate with product, compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, borrower experience, and regulatory alignment.\r\nRequirements: Design, develop, enhance and maintain full stack applications supporting mortgage and lending workflows (e.g., LOS, POS, servicing systems)\r\nAnalyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.\r\nBuild and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices for loan processing, underwriting, pricing, and document management\r\nDevelop modern, responsive user interfaces for borrower and internal user experiences\r\nWrite unit, integration and component tests; improve rest coverage and reliability\r\nWork with structured and unstructured financial data, including loan files, documents, and blockchain-based assets (if applicable)\r\nOptimize performance and scalability for high-volume transaction processing\r\nParticipate in architecture discussions around cloud-native and API-first platforms\r\nSupport CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to enable rapid, reliable deployments\r\nTroubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability and uptime\r\nContribute to technical design discussions and code reviews.\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)\r\n3–7+ years of experience in full stack software development\r\nStrong proficiency in Java (Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or similar frameworks)\r\nExperience building API-driven, microservices-based systems (REST/SOAP)\r\nFrontend experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js\r\nFamiliarity with ORM frameworks like Hibernate/JPA.\r\nExperience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and/or NoSQL\r\nFamiliarity with secure application development and data protection practices\r\nExperience with Git and modern development workflows\r\nStrong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.\r\nUnderstanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.\r\nExperience in mortgage, lending, or fintech platforms (LOS, POS, servicing, capital markets)\r\nKnowledge of mortgage lifecycle: origination ? underwriting ? closing ? servicing ? secondary market\r\nExperience integrating with credit agencies (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion)\r\nExperience integrating AUS systems (Desktop Underwriter, Loan Product Advisor)\r\nFamiliarity with MISMO standards and mortgage data formats\r\nExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)\r\nKnowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)\r\nExperience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ)\r\nExposure to blockchain-based loan or asset management platforms\r\nStrong understanding of financial systems, transactions, and data integrity\r\nAbility to balance speed of delivery with regulatory compliance\r\nAnalytical thinking with attention to detail in complex workflows\r\nStrong collaboration with business, compliance, and product teams\r\nAbility to work in fast-paced, highly regulated environments\r\nExperience with AI-driven
