Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Director, Revenue Accounting will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will have high visibility with our Executive Leadership team. This position will be responsible for overseeing all revenue operations, accounts receivable, and deposit accounting related activities in a rapidly growing organization.RequirementsEssential Job FunctionsManage all aspects of revenue recognition for the company, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Monitor and reconcile revenue and cash accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable rules and regulations. Generate and distribute regular financial reports, providing insights into revenue performance by client, accounts receivable aging, and key metrics. Oversee accounts receivable collections processes, including collections and customer account reconciliations. Oversee high-volume daily customer invoicing and monthly statements processes, ensuring accurate and timely client billing. Work closely with Operations teams to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies. Work cross-functionally to find improvements in billing processes to minimize errors and delays. Identify opportunities to streamline and automate revenue, billing, and accounts receivable processes, minimizing manual efforts and reducing errors. Develop and implement strategies to reduce outstanding accounts receivable and improve cash flow. Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards and accounting principles. Assist in preparing for and participating in financial audits, providing documentation and explanations as required. Ability to identify trends through analysis of practices to improve the overall utilization of resources and cost containment. Ability to effectively communicate trends found through analytical study using a variety of reporting mediums. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to process large datasets and interpret complex financial data. Effective open communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to successfully work with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance. Ability to train and motivate direct reports. Knowledgeable of various state and regulatory requirementsAdvanced computer literacy on Microsoft Office products and database programsEducation And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required. 5 years proven experience in revenue accounting, billing, and accounts receivable management. Strong understanding of revenue recognition and revenue accounting principles (ASC 606, IFRS 15). Demonstrated experience in process automation and the use of accounting software and ERP systems. License and Certification: N/APosition Demands:This position requires sitting, bending, stooping for up to 8 hours per day in an office setting. Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 10 lbs. Ability to learn technical material.
