Our MissionWe are seeking a dynamic and strategic Development Director (DD) to lead and grow our fundraising efforts in support of two Learning Centers and an Adult Day Center. This is a key leadership role that directly impacts our ability to serve the community and expand our programs.If you are a relationship-driven leader with a passion for nonprofit development and community impact, we invite you to apply.Position OverviewThe Development Director partners closely with the CEO and serves as a member of the Executive Management Team. This role is responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that ensures long-term sustainability and growth.The DD leads all development initiatives, including grants, donor relations, campaigns, events, and marketing efforts.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a strategic, measurable Fund Development PlanResearch, write, and manage grant proposals and funding opportunitiesEnsure compliance with all grant reporting requirementsPlan and execute fundraising campaigns and major eventsCultivate and steward relationships with donors, foundations, corporations, and public funding sourcesIdentify and grow major gift opportunitiesRepresent the organization through public speaking and community engagementOversee marketing and communications in partnership with the Public Relations CoordinatorStrengthen community partnerships and visibilityEnsure timely donor acknowledgment and stewardship practicesProvide regular updates and reports to leadership and the BoardWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree required5–6 years of professional experience, preferably in nonprofit developmentProven success in fundraising, grant writing, and donor engagementStrong leadership, organizational, and project management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speakingAbility to build relationships with diverse stakeholdersSelf-motivated with strong problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office and donor database systemsFinancial and budgeting experience preferredWhy Join Us?Make a meaningful impact in the communityBe part of a collaborative and mission-driven leadership teamOpportunity to shape and grow development strategyEngage with passionate supporters and partnersHow to ApplyPlease submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your experience and interest in the role to Jeremy.Hesson@JRCcares.org.
