This position requires knowledge, at a comprehensive professional level, of the application of engineering theories, techniques, and methods to the gathering, classification, and interpretation of analytical information.\nResponsibilities:\nDemonstrate knowledge of motor vehicle transportation related areas of research and engineering.\nDemonstrate skill in development of analysis plans; research report review; assimilation, aggregation; analysis of evolving technologies enabling modern motor vehicle safety capabilities; and in the development of presentations and technical reports.\nDemonstrate proficiency with the use of various types of databases and spreadsheet software.\nDemonstrate ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously.\nExhibit excellent attention to detail and accuracy.\nThrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve and new challenges arise regularly.\nQualifications:\n\nB.S. degree preferred.\nTwo (2+) years of experience.\nHigh skill levels in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive, and Slides).\nExperience developing presentations and writing technical reports.\n\nDesired Skills:\n\nExperience with vehicle crashworthiness and restraint systems, vehicle full-scale crash testing, component level testing, New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) test procedures, and related data analysis.\nExperience with vehicle crash avoidance systems.\nThe ideal candidate is innovative, highly motivated, process-driven, detail oriented, an effective communicator, a team player, and passionate about vehicle safety.\n\nPhysical Demands:\n\nMust be able to lift up to 25 pounds\nMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time\nMust be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically\n\nSECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level.
