This role focuses on market access and pre-trade risk controls, trading limit review and control testing, and operational/trading incident management, working directly with Trading, Technology, Risk, and Compliance.\n\nJob Responsibilities\n\nManage market access and pre-trade risk controls\n\nPerform trading limit review and control testing\n\nManage operational/trading incidents, including independently investigating issues and driving work across multiple teams to completion\n\nWork directly with traders and Technology teams\n\nPrepare risk-related documentation and respond to information requests, reviews, and counterparty risk questionnaires\n\nWork effectively with Trading, Technology, Risk, and Compliance\n\nSupport new trading businesses, products, systems, and regulatory initiatives\n\nImprove and automate risk processes\n\nDevelop policies and procedures\n\nRequirements\n\nApproximately 5–10 years of relevant experience in operational risk, trading risk, electronic trading controls, or a related financial markets role\n\nStrong preference for experience at a proprietary trading firm, market maker, broker-dealer, or other fast-paced trading environment; candidates from larger financial institutions can be a fit if they have relevant experience supporting an electronic execution or algorithmic trading business\n\nStrong understanding of market access/pre-trade risk controls, trading limits, control testing, and incident management\n\nExperience working directly with traders and Technology teams\n\nExperience preparing risk-related documentation and responding to information requests, reviews, or counterparty risk questionnaires is preferred\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\n\nBachelor's degree\n\nSkills\n\nMarket access and pre-trade risk controls\n\nTrading limit review and control testing\n\nOperational/trading incident management\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\n\nStrong verbal and written communication\n\nAbility to work effectively with Trading, Technology, Risk, and Compliance\n\nAbility to independently own and drive work to completion\n\nProactive and takes initiative\n\nIndependent and comfortable learning unfamiliar subject matter\n\nStrong follow-through and accountability\n\nCollaborative and responsive\n\nBuilds strong working relationships across different teams, personalities, and seniority levels\n\nDiplomatic but willing to challenge when appropriate\n\nComfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with competing priorities\n\nPreferred Skills\n\nExperience with clearing and executing broker risk questionnaires\n\nPolicy and procedure development\n\nExperience supporting new trading businesses, products, systems, or regulatory initiatives\n\nExperience improving or automating risk processes\n\nBenefits\n\nDiscretionary bonus eligibility\n\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\n\nHSA, FSA, and Dependent Care Options\n\nEmployer Paid Group Term Life and AD&D insurance\n\nVoluntary LTD, Life & AD&D insurance\n\nFlexible Vacation policy\n\nRetirement plan with employer match\n\nDV is not accepting unsolicited resumes from search firms.
