Ideal candidate will have reliable attendance and a strong willingness to learn about mechanics. Applicant will work/train out of the Perry, IL location but will eventually primarily work out in the field on agriculture and application equipment in the Perry/Winchester/White Hall areas.Responsibilities:Learns and performs basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipmentParticipates in company provided training programs required for the development of skills and knowledgeLearns knowledge of John Deere and competitive productsMaintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipmentMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashionFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsCompletes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignmentsAccounts for all time and all material used in performing assigned dutiesJob Requirements:Basic diesel mechanic experience along with a desire to learn about application equipment is requiredAbility to perform basic repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual proceduresProficient oral and written communication skillsAbility to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposesAbility to use computer applicationsAbility to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedlyHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience preferredValid driver's license required along with a good driving recordMust maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employmentMust have reliable attendanceAbility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidaysFull-Time Benefit Packages:Paid Holidays & Vacation TimeHealth, Vision, & Dental InsuranceLife Insurance401K Plan with Company MatchRoutine Performance & Pay ReviewsFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Safety Equipment AllowanceCompany Provided UniformsAll benefits subject to change.Pay Information:The hourly pay range for this position is $17 to $22.
