During the initial startup phase, this position will focus on environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, facility commissioning, and implementation of EHS systems for a new manufacturing site. As operations transition into full production, the role will evolve toward maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations, and driving continuous improvement of the site's safety culture.\nThis position works closely with Engineering, Facilities, Operations, Quality, and external consultants to ensure regulatory compliance while enabling safe and efficient manufacturing.\nWhat will you be doing?\nSupport commissioning and startup of new manufacturing facilities and equipment.\nCoordinate environmental permitting activities including:\nAir, Stormwater, Wastewater, Hazardous materials permitting.\nWork with environmental consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders throughout project execution.\nAssist with hazardous materials inventories and Maximum Allowable Quantity (MAQ) evaluations.\nParticipate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), and commissioning activities.\nDevelop EHS procedures, SOPs, permits, signage, inspections, and compliance documentation for new operations.\nAdminister environmental permits and ensure permit conditions are met.\nCoordinate regulatory reporting including, as applicable:\nTRI, Tier II, Hazardous Waste , Stormwater, Air emissions, Wastewater processes.\nManage hazardous waste accumulation, inspections, shipments, and disposal in accordance with RCRA.\nMonitor regulatory changes and recommend actions to maintain compliance.\nSupport implementation of OSHA compliance programs including:\nLockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Respiratory Protection, Hazard Communication, Hot Work, Fall Protection, PPE, Contractor Safety.\nParticipate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action tracking.\nAssist in developing EHS procedures, standards, and training programs.\nDeliver EHS training for employees and contractors.\nSupport implementation of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.\nMaintain EHS metrics, dashboards, compliance calendars, and training records.\nParticipate in internal audits and support external regulatory inspections.\nWho are You?\nBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related technical discipline.\n2-5 years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, semiconductor, battery, pharmaceutical, specialty chemicals, or similar regulated industry.\nWorking knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.\nStrong organizational and project management skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.\nExperience with one or more of the following is preferred\nAir permitting\nStormwater permitting\nWastewater permitting\nHazardous waste (RCRA)\nCalifornia environmental regulations (CUPA, DTSC, CARB, BAAQMD)\nProcess Safety Management (PSM)\nProcess Hazard Analysis (PHA)\nManagement of Change (MOC)\nISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001\nContractor management\nStartup or greenfield manufacturing projects\nWe are Offering...\nChallenge Yourself and Impact the Future - You will be part of a highly collaborative culture that promotes continuous improvement through cross-functional partnerships to achieve our mission.
