Recent graduates will be considered.\n\nA successful candidate in this position will possess strong soft skills as well as\nExcel Proficiency\nCustomer service\nProblem – solving\nTeam Collaboration\nSAP/Peoplesoft system knowledge will strongly set new grads apart from each other\n\nDescription\nFacilitate, coordinate and perform various accounting tasks through the consistent application of standard processes and through the use of a defined checklists\nImplement process and accounting controls\nPrioritize ongoing tasks, project work, and other initiatives.\nEvaluate, recommend, and/or implement improvements that contribute to increased efficiency and to maintain account reconciliations and to improve reconciliation controls\nApply technical accounting knowledge, Excel skills, and General Ledger skills to resolve problems,\nidentify improvement opportunities\nWork in a team based environment and support department efficiency and standardization initiatives\nDay to Day Responsibilities:\nPerform various complex accounting tasks including account review, analysis, and journal entry preparation\nPerform Project Costing/Asset Management tasks as assigned\nProvide Customer Service Support to all internal and external customers\nCompleting or assisting in the completion of all information requests, journal posting and audit requests\nPerform all tasks in a timely and accurate manner\nDevelop a basic understanding of company procedures and policies to be compliant in the preparation of reconciliations, record retention, preparation of year-end closing instructions, Tax and SEC packages preparation\nReview current processes and modify as needed to insure timely and accurate completion and\ncompliance with company policy and procedures\nParticipate in and contribute to periodic team meetings\nCross-train with other members of CTR\nMaintain and update process documentation for all processes under management\nActively participate in meetings, projects and audits as required\nMonthly responsibilities:\nCompletion of all assigned Month End Closing tasks\nCreate and post journal entries\nEnsure completion of system process’s\nJournal error review and correction\nPrepare and distribute ad hoc reports\nPrepare and certify assigned account reconciliations\n\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation\nBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
