The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural repair and maintenance, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and quality.This position is based in our satellite production facility in Midland, TX, with full relocation provided (details below).Pay: $36-$42 hour based on experience, with overtime opportunities.What You'll Do:Perform structural assembly, repair and modifications of Telecommunication Satellites, structures or other structures as required to drawing specifications.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals to determine repair and modification requirements.Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete tasks accurately.Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve technical issues and improve processes.Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.What you bring:High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a structural mechanic in aerospace.Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.Strong knowledge of materials, tools, and techniques used in structural repair and maintenance.Specific skills in riveting, drilling, and fastener installationSurface Prep for BondingIncremental drilling for hold size forMechanical Assembly and Torque SpecificationsClear understanding and demonstration of:ScrewsRivetsWet BondingLaser tracking and Metrology a plusKnowledge of different types of rivets, including solid rivets, blind rivets, Hi-Lock and Hi-Lite, cherry max rivets, and their installation requirements.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Physical Requirements & Work Environment:Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of timeAbility to use hands and fingers to perform repetitive and precision tasksAbility to lift heavy objects and work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and crouchingAbility to communicate effectively, including talking and hearingAbility to work in, on, around, and in proximity to large structures, equipment, and toolingAbility to lift, push, and/or carry items up to 50 pounds as requiredAbility to work near moving mechanical parts and equipmentAbility to work in and around tight or confined spacesHands-on work with flight hardware, test setups, and precision instrumentsAvailability for extended shifts during launch campaignsAbility to work in environments that may include exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and/or hazardous materials (e.g., carbon fiber)Benefits: (Eligibility dependent)Medical, dental, vision401(k) (pre-tax & Roth)Life insurance, disability coverageHSA, transportation benefitsEmployee Assistance ProgramPTO / sick leaveCompetitive salaryHealth, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement planPaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for professional development and advancementRelocation Support (If You Accept)Up to $5,000 in temporary housing (first 3 months)$1,050/month stipend to support living arrangements after 1st working month on an ongoing basisIf you are open to relocating to Midland, this can be a career changing, and life changing, move into the high-tech aerospace world offering a new skill set and job security in a very similar environment that will soon feel like home.
