It is a place where we all work together to ensure that our children are learning and are happy with who they are.\nWe are seeking an individual to act as YARD COACH at our school and:\nEnsure that all of our students are playing safely during their non-classroom school hours\nPromote a positive and inclusive school culture throughout the school\nWork with teachers and Administration to prevent conflicts, solve problems, and provide a safe, engaging environment for all of Chabot’s students.\nM-F all school days, 3 - 8 hours/day , August, 2022-May 2023\nRate of Pay: salary commensurate with experience\nSpecific Duties Include:\nSupervise groups of school age children during recess/after school\nDirect and manage structured, age appropriate games at all recesses.\nHelp students manage conflicts and disagreement\nLead games and activities to ensure a positive environment\nMaintain appropriate records.\nCommunicate with teachers, administration and families about students’ socio-emotional well being.\nOption to work in after school program\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nAbility to pass background check--required\nExperience leading groups of children with the ability to engage and inspire youth\nExperience with Playworks, Sportability, Sports for Kids or other structured recreation program preferred\nSelf-starter, outgoing and professional manner, team player—who works well with peers\nCommitment to equity; Growth mind set\nSome child development coursework preferred\nPlease email cover letter and resume to the address below.
