This is a hands-on technical leadership role for an engineer with deep expertise in utility distribution design who is passionate about advancing electrical infrastructure, grid modernization, and system reliability.\nThe successful candidate will lead the design and execution of overhead and underground electrical distribution projects, mentor engineering and design staff, and provide technical oversight for projects serving utility, municipal, industrial, and cooperative clients. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact the reliability and performance of electrical distribution systems while supporting some of the industry's most critical infrastructure initiatives.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) License.\n8+ years of experience in utility electrical distribution engineering and design.\nStrong experience with overhead and underground distribution systems.\nProven experience developing and reviewing utility construction work packages.\nExperience with distribution systems ranging from 4kV through 138kV.\nDemonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor engineering staff.\nStrong knowledge of utility industry standards, regulations, and best practices.\nRequired Technical Skills\nDesign & Engineering Software\nAutoCAD\nDistribution Design Studio (DDS)\nGIS-based platforms\nMicroStation\nSAP\nWork Management Systems (WMS)\nPole & Structural Analysis Tools\nPoleForeman\nSpidaCalc\nO-Calc\nEquivalent pole analysis software\nAdditional Technical Expertise\nPole loading and structural analysis\nDistribution line design\nJoint-use and make-ready engineering (MRE)\nUtility permitting processes\nRight-of-Way (ROW) coordination\nConstruction support and field engineering\nQA/QC reviews\nGrid modernization initiatives\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting utility storm restoration or emergency response efforts.\nFamiliarity with Rural Utilities Service (RUS) design standards.\nExperience supporting electric cooperatives and rural utility systems.\nBackground in joint-use engineering and telecommunications attachment programs.\nKnowledge of advanced utility asset management and work management systems.\nExperience working within consulting engineering environments serving electric utility clients.\nDisclaimer: Brooksource, Medasource, and Calculated Hire are part of the Eight Eleven Group family of companies and operate under Eight Eleven Group, LLC.
