The selected candidate must be a self-starter, energetic and able to work in a fast-paced collaborative team environment.\nThis ideal candidate will have relevant Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) experience with strength in developing and implementing creative injury reduction programs or campaigns. The candidate should have a demonstrated track record of continuous improvement towards EHS compliance programs, and the ability to prioritize and provide timely support for multiple customers, requests and projects daily. The selected candidate should have strong communications, interpersonal skills to influence internal and external groups including engineers, factory line employees and management.\nWhat You Will Do Assigned EH&S duties may include but are not limited to:\nUnder the direction of the site EH&S Manager, implement and manage environmental, health and safety programs including, but not limited to, hazardous waste, wastewater, storm water, air quality, SPCC, and all other programs within the EHS umbrella. Programs assignments can change and the candidate may be required to manage and implement additional and/or other EHS programs.\nDevelop initiatives, best management practices and advise employees on questions or concerns related to environmental compliance.\nEvaluate assigned programs for opportunities for improvement\nCoordinates awareness and communication of policies and procedures in accordance with industry and government regulations.\nCollaborates across departments to achieve and maintain consistency of EHS program implementation.\nConduct regular inspections of buildings and project sites for compliance with EHS programs.\nLeads internal and external regulatory inspections.\nInterpret and communicate regulatory compliance and company policy to affected management and employees.\nAttend meetings regularly to brief employees and leaders on EH&S related topics.\nCollaborate with factory management on projects to solve complex process related issues.\nPerform analysis of leading and lagging safety performance indicators for trends to drive corrective actions.\nServe as EHS representative for assigned building and functional safety council.\nConduct incident and injury investigations and root cause analysis, develop corrective actions and track to completion.\nContribute to the development and implementation of EHS strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement.\nParticipate in HazMat emergency response, medical emergencies and enterprise preparedness programs. Including after-hours emergency response.\nProvide instructor led training on various EHS topics.\nParticipate in internal and external audits including Cal OSHA VPP, AS9100 and other internal company assessments.\nTravel to support other sites or regions on audits, or Raytheon wide initiatives.\nQualifications You Must Have Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.\nMinimum 1 year of experience supporting environmental health and safety programs.\nThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
