By accelerating delivery of critical systems, Tangram is transforming the way our nation solves complex software challenges.\n\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nSoftware Development & System Optimization\n\nDesign & Coding: Design, develop, test, and document high-quality software using relevant languages (C/C++, Java, Python, Rust).\nResource Optimization: Analyze design approaches to improve the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources for new and existing products.\nCore Product Mastery: Build and maintain deep technical expertise in Tangram Flex products to support internal systems, customer deployments, and live demonstrations.\n\nIntegration, Testing & Agile Execution\n\nSystem Testing & Analysis: Support end-to-end system testing, performance analysis, and troubleshooting across integrated hardware/software setups.\nAgile Participation: Active participant in Agile SDLC events, including sprint planning, daily progress tracking, technical reviews, and integration events.\n\nClient Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration\n\nEngineering Collaboration: Partner closely with software, systems, and cross-functional teams to refine system requirements, design choices, and system characteristics.\nTechnical Guidance & Support: Provide technical support and product guidance to customer engineers, resolving issues in line with company values and business goals.\nStakeholder Communication: Translate customer requirements for internal teams (engineering, product, sales) and clearly articulate technical findings, project statuses, and demos to both technical and business audiences.\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS\n\nEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent technical field.\nExperience: Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience collaborating effectively within high-functioning technical teams.\nSecurity Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required; must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.\nObject-Oriented Design & Programming: Deep experience with C, C++, Java, or Object-Oriented Design principles.\nWillingness and ability to travel up to 20% of work time to client sites, customer locations, and industry conferences as required.\n\nWork Location based in Dayton, Ohio\n\nNICE TO HAVE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS\n\nLanguages & Infrastructure: Knowledge of or interest in Docker, Java, Go, Rust, Haskell, and network communications technology.\nTesting & Quality Assurance: Familiarity with modern software test approaches, including unit testing, static analysis, fuzz testing, and symbolic execution.\nExperience with communication & proposals; high level written and verbal communication skills to author or contribute to technical documentation, support proposal development, and present to external customers.\nSystems Integration & Domain Expertise:\nOpen Architectures & Standards: Understanding of or interest in DoD Open Architecture standards (e.g., OMS, FACE).\nAutonomous Systems & Simulation: Familiarity with UAV/autonomous systems, relevant messaging formats (e.g., MAVLink), and simulation frameworks (e.g., AFSIM).\nEmbedded & Subsystem Integration: Hands-on experience integrating sub-system components, embedded systems, and toolchains like Simulink.\n\nWHAT WE OFFER\n\nWe are committed to staying rooted in our core value of Team First.
