{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"42a6dc075ccc433d6b606fea","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/42a6dc075ccc433d6b606fea","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/42a6dc075ccc433d6b606fea","title":"Testing Analyst I","description":"Job Title: ServiceNow Testing Analyst I\nLocation: Oakland, CA\nDuration: July 01, 2026 – November 06, 2026\nPay Rate: $54/hr. on W2\n\nAccount Manager Notes:\nMinimum 1 year of experience\nNeed to have Service Now Testing Experience\nOwn UAT plan execution and readiness\nConfirm UAT entry criteria (stable build, environment, testers)\nCoordinate daily execution, defect triage, and retesting\nProduce executive-level UAT status and risk reporting\nValidate UAT exit criteria and support sign-off\n\nJob Description:\nJob Responsibilities:\nSoftware Testing and Quality Assurance:\nAnalyze, review and assess basic user requirements, specifications and functional design for testability.\nActively participate in functional and technical specification meetings to understand business requirements and implementation approach.\nContribute to test effort/cost estimation, test design specifications, test case specifications and/or test procedure specifications.\nDefine test cycles and cycle entry and exit criteria.\nDevelop test plans and test scripts, including conditions and expected results, in accordance with IT standards to sufficiently test the product.\nParticipate in reviews of others’ test plans.\nCoordinate the setup of the test environment with cross-functional teams.\nPrepare or create test data to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow.\nImplement tests on all appropriate levels (e.g., functional, system integration and performance tests), execute and document/log the tests, evaluate the results, and document deviations from expected results. If applicable for this position, measure product performance.\nTrack test incident resolution.\nEvaluate test automation possibilities.\nFor performance testing, use available test automation tools if feasible.\nCreate test summary reports and risk analysis for business client acceptance.\nProvide consulting expertise for applications and software being tested by others as needed.\nRegularly report on testing status, particularly items that could impact product delivery.\nTest Tool Support: Learn and understand automated test tools for product, regression, or performance testing. Teach and assist others in using test tools. Contact test tool support teams for assistance as necessary. Document recommendations on how to use test tools and maintain FAQs.\nTest Management: Administer, manage, and monitor test progress. Use test administration, management, and monitoring tools as required. Apply project management methodology and techniques to manage software testing tasks. Plan, estimate, schedule, and control testing phases of projects.\nClient Support and Consulting:\nBuild and maintain positive, proactive relationships with clients.\nUnderstand clients’ business and needs.\nProvide client consultation and testing support as needed.\nKeep clients informed of testing progress.\nWork within procedural guidelines under frequent supervision on routine and limited-scope assignments carrying limited organizational risk.\nOutputs are regularly monitored and reviewed by more experienced testers.\nMay be mentored and guided by senior Test Analysts, especially on higher complexity assignments.\nEducation Minimum:\nBA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.\nExperience Minimum:\nAt least 6 months experience in information technology or business environments.\nExperience Desired:\nParticipation in projects of low to medium complexity.\nLicense/Certification Desired:\nContinuous education such as IT or business-specific training.\nInternational Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Tester Certification (functional test analysts only).\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Minimum:\nWorking knowledge of MS Office Suite.\nDetail-oriented with analytical skills and good oral and written communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively with teams from different disciplines and levels.\nDesired:\nGeneral business understanding and knowledge of functional area and/or system supported by the business unit(s).\nFamiliarity with test management tools (e.g., Quality Center).\nBasic understanding of relational databases, including database querying.\nWork Environment:\nOffice environment.
