The team's focus is on designing, analyzing, producing, testing and delivering innovative prototypes.\nResponsibilities:\nWorking with senior engineers, the Mechanical Engineer will review existing designs for producibility and suggest changes, as required; create new drawings, as required; coordinate with machine shops and other production facilities to ensure delivery of conforming material; witness and/or perform receipt inspections.\n\nJob duties include but are not limited to:\nanalyzing drawings\ndesigning hardware\nreviewing test and inspection documentation.\nQualifications:\nBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college.\nExperience with mechanical systems engineering design software tools (such as SolidWorks or ProEngineer)\nAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts\nStrong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team\nMachine shop or manufacturing experience is desired.\nHands-on experience in factory, shop, or construction is a plus.\nPhysical Demands:\nMust be able to lift up to 35 pounds\nMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time\nMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodically\n\nSECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain security clearance at the Secret level.
