As a valued member of our interdisciplinary team, you’ll help ensure that no one walks this path alone.\n\nWhat You’ll Do as a Hospice Chaplain:\n\nProvide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and caregivers in alignment with their beliefs and values.\n\nOffer non-denominational, inclusive care that respects all faiths, spiritual traditions, and cultural backgrounds.\n\nServe as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, participating in patient care conferences and collaborating with nurses, social workers, aides, and medical staff.\n\nAssess spiritual needs of patients and families and develop individualized spiritual care plans.\n\nConduct visits, prayers, blessings, and rituals as appropriate and requested by the patient or family.\n\nAssist families during times of grief, loss, or transition, and provide bereavement support and counseling.\n\nBuild relationships with local faith leaders and community resources to support patients' and families' unique spiritual needs.\n\nMaintain timely and accurate documentation of spiritual assessments, interventions, and outcomes.\n\nAbout You\nThe candidate must meetoneof the following educational requirements:\n\nBachelor’s degree in theology, religion, human services, counseling, psychology, or sociology (or as required by state-specific regulations)\n\nA minimum of one unit of ACPE-accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)\n\nNote: Degrees from accredited institutions are preferred.
