This position requires carrying a firearm, exercising sound judgment, and responding to threats professionally. Officers conduct patrols, monitor surveillance and access control, respond to alarms and emergencies, maintain detailed logs, and coordinate with law enforcement when necessary. Strong alertness, integrity, customer service, and calmness under pressure are essential. Officers must be properly licensed, trained in firearm safety, and compliant with all regulations.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nValid state Security Officer/Guard License (or ability to obtain).\n21+ years old.\nMust pass armed training and possess a valid pistol permit.\nMust be able to stand for extended period of time.\nMust have Customer Service Skills\nDuties & Responsibilities\nSecurity Operations:\nConduct regular walking patrols to enhance safety and report concerns.\nMonitor facility access points; verify IDs and credentials.\nEnforce security procedures per Post Instructions.\nIncident Response & Reporting:\nRespond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol.\nMaintain accurate activity, observation, and incident logs.\nComplete routine tasks such as locking/unlocking doors, monitoring cameras, and managing security systems.\nCustomer Service & Professionalism:\nAssist visitors and employees and address concerns professionally.\nEnforce SEI and Client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking).\nMaintain a clean, pressed uniform and professional appearance.\nRequired Skills & Abilities\nMinimum:\nAbility to perform in fast-paced, potentially stressful environments.\nAvailability to work weekends if needed.\nStrong situational awareness and curiosity.\nAbility to remain calm, problem-solve, and act effectively during critical situations.\nBasic computer skills; ability to use a tablet for reporting.\nPreferred:\nExperience with Microsoft Office Suite.\nPhysical Requirements With or Without reasonable accommodation\n(subject to change based on client-specific needs):\n\nStand at least 1 hour without support or break.\nSit at least 1 hour without break.\nWalk at least ½ mile without stopping.\nClimb at least 20 commercial stairs without stopping.\nEducation & Experience\nMinimum:\nHS Diploma or equivalent.\nPreferred:\n1+ year of verifiable security, military, or law enforcement experience.\nNote: Duties, qualifications, skills, and requirements listed are not exhaustive.
