The Network Engineer will administer, operate, and maintain the network, performing infrastructure upgrades and improving both wired and wireless networks.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nAdminister, operate, and maintain the enterprise network.\nPerform infrastructure upgrades and improve the wired and wireless networks.\nOptimize system operations and resource utilization.\nPerform system capacity analysis and planning.\nPlan and perform network engineering research, design development, and other assignments in conformance with network design, engineering and customer specifications.\nUp to 25% travel to support remote sites within the US.\nThis position is 100% onsite.\n\nSkills Required:\n\nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field and 8 years of IT experience, or 12 years of IT experience.\nMinimum of 5 years in both wired and wireless Cisco network experience in large Enterprise campus environment with multi-layer routing protocols.\nLayer 3 Experience\nRouting protocols including, OSPF, BGP (Multi-homing, Load balancing traffic and engineering for automatic failover, Load balancing), EIGRP, RIP, HSRP,WCCP\nMulticast\nFlow analysis experience preferred\nMPLS experience preferred\nStrong troubleshooting skills including\nLayer 1 (copper cabling troubles / fiber signal strength)\nLayer 2 (spanning tree, VLAN tagging, mac address tracing)\nLayer 3 (routing troubles, EGP versus IGP redistribution, BGP attribute studying, prefix length issues)\nLayers 4 thru 7\nArchitecture and Design experience including\nDesigning networks scalable to 10 Gigs or more\nCreating routing policy for auto-failover\nVisio design/diagramming skills\nAdherence to Best Practices and robust Work Ethic.\nExperience tracking and resolving incidents via ticket queue.\nExcellent written and communication skills.\nAbility to adhere to maintenance windows and change control procedures.\nSelf-motivated to take ownership of projects.\nAbility to multi-task between multiple networks and multiple customer requirements.\n\nSkills Preferred:\n\nExperience working with a large organization (>35,000 customers).\nExperience collaborating with peer and client teams.\nExperience working remotely and onsite.\nCisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification\nExperience using a Helpdesk system – ServiceNow is a plus.\nExperience with MS Project and Visio.\n\nAdditionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required. It is imperative that candidates be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US.\n\nThe salary range for positions is $50,000 to $175,000.
