These measures are crucial in managing risk, improving the precision of financial reporting and ensuring adherence to established accounting standards or international financial reporting norms.\r\nJob Responsibilities: Including but not limited to\r\nGuides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.\r\nProtects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.\r\nMonitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits; providing information to external auditors.\r\nMaximizes return and limits risk on cash by minimizing bank balances; making investments.\r\nPrepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.\r\nAchieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.\r\nProvides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.\r\nPrepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.\r\nComplies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.\r\nEnsures operation of equipment by establishing preventive maintenance requirements and service contracts, maintaining equipment inventories, evaluating new equipment, and techniques.\r\nCompletes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.\r\nMaintains financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.\r\nMaintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.\r\nProtects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.\r\nSupervisory Responsibilities\r\nManages subordinate supervisors and accountants in the Accounting and Financial Reporting Departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\r\nJob Requirements & Qualifications:\r\nBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Economics required.
