Commercial Journeyman Electrician

Job Description The Commercial Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings such as offices, retail spaces, schools, and industrial facilities. This role requires strong technical skills, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and safelyInstall, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial settingsInterpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation proceduresRun conduit (EMT, rigid, flexible) and pull wire according to specificationsInstall panels, switchgear, lighting systems, controls, and outletsTroubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs in a timely mannerEnsure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC)Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using appropriate toolsCollaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to complete projects on scheduleMaintain tools, equipment, and job site safety standardsTrain and mentor apprentices as needed
