Reporting directly to executive leadership, this role serves as a trusted technology advisor while helping shape Conco's long-term technology strategy and evaluate emerging technologies that will drive the company's future.\r\nThe successful candidate will balance strategic leadership with enough technical depth to guide architectural decisions, mentor technical staff, and oversee complex technology initiatives.\r\nLeadership & Management\r\nLead, mentor, and develop the IT team, including Desktop Support, Systems Administration, and Software Development.\r\nEstablish departmental goals while leading staffing, coaching, performance management, and professional development.\r\nDevelop and manage the annual IT budget.\r\nBuild strong working relationships with executive leadership and department managers to translate business needs into secure, scalable, and cost-effective technology solutions.\r\nCommunicate technology initiatives and technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.\r\nProvide overall leadership for IT operations across corporate offices and remote job sites, ensuring dependable, secure, high-performing technology services.\r\nTechnical Leadership & Architecture\r\nServe as the senior technical leader for enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, and complex technology initiatives.\r\nReview and approve significant infrastructure designs, security standards, system configurations, and technology changes.\r\nProvide technical leadership during major implementations, upgrades, cloud initiatives, disaster recovery testing, and cybersecurity incidents.\r\nMentor technical staff and encourage documentation, knowledge sharing, and adherence to technology standards.\r\nInfrastructure & Enterprise Technology\r\nProvide strategic oversight of Conco's enterprise technology infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows Server, VMware, Azure, AWS, Cisco Meraki networking, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and identity management.\r\nOversee ERP systems and other enterprise business applications while partnering with technical staff to maintain dependable, secure and high-performing systems.\r\nPartner with business leaders to identify opportunities for automation, system integration, and business process improvement.\r\nCybersecurity\r\nLead enterprise cybersecurity strategy, policies, vulnerability management, incident response, business continuity, and compliance initiatives.\r\nTechnology Strategy & Innovation\r\nDevelop and execute a long-term technology roadmap aligned with business objectives, recommending investments that improve scalability, cybersecurity, operational efficiency, disaster recovery, and business continuity.\r\nEvaluate AI, automation, and emerging technologies that provide measurable business value.\r\nVendor & Project Management\r\nManage technology vendors, contracts, licensing, and major technology projects.\r\nCoordinate infrastructure upgrades and enterprise technology implementations.\r\nQualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field preferred.\r\n7-10 years of progressive IT experience with at least 5 years leading technical teams.\r\nExperience leading Microsoft 365, networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, enterprise applications, budgeting, and vendor management.\r\nExperience planning or leading cloud migration initiatives preferred.\r\nConstruction industry experience is a plus.\r\nValid CA driver's license, current proof of insurance, DMV printout, reliable personal transportation.\r\nAbility to travel to various offices and job sites.\r\nAvailable to work overtime or non-business hours, if necessary.\r\nThe Conco Companies is an equal opportunity employer.
