The successful candidate will be a force multiplier for software development efforts at Mascoma Bank, by applying expertise in software build and test automation, software delivery pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and software monitoring.\n\nIn this role you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of the platform underpinning the secure and efficient development, deployment, and execution of custom software in the organization. You will also assist in the design and review of iterative improvements to the platform.\n\nRequirements\n\nOperate, maintain, and improve the platform onto which custom applications are deployed, which provides CI, CD, monitoring and alerting, and capacity scaling.\n\nMaintain and respond to proactive alerting on the health of the platform. Take action to avoid incidents when possible. Perform troubleshooting and remediation when necessary.\n\nAssist development teams with specifying infrastructure needs for software projects and implementing them via infrastructure-as-code.\n\nMaintain platform documentation.\n\nAdhere to SDLC policy and controls.\n\nAdheres to and upholds all written policies and procedures of the Bank, including BSA/CIP and OFAC monitoring and reporting, security, operation, and personnel policies.\n\nWhat You Bring\n\nExperience with automating software builds, testing, and deployment\n\nExperience with Kubernetes strongly preferred, particularly operating production-grade clusters\n\nExperience with service mesh solutions such as Istio would be a major bonus\n\nExperience with software monitoring and alerting, particularly using Prometheus, would be a major bonus\n\nExperience with infrastructure as code solutions such as Terraform would be a major bonus\n\nExperience with AWS would be a bonus, particularly EKS, IAM, CodeBuild, RDS, ECS, and CloudWatch\n\nExperience with Python, Bash, and/or Go would be a bonus\n\nStrong understanding of networking fundamentals and information security fundamentals\n\nBasic understanding of software development concepts and practices\n\nPassion for learning new things and applying them to create a better product\n\nAbility to communicate effectively with other team members, and collaborate with members on multiple different teams\n\nWillingness to ask for and accept help when needed, as well as graciously provide help when asked and able\n\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and privacy\n\nIf you are interested in the role and do not meet 100% of the requirements, we are still interested in hearing from you!\n\nWhy Mascoma Bank?\n\nStrong culture of belonging with a team that values creativity, new perspectives and innovation.\n\nCommunity first minded.
