Community Home Loan Lender

ResponsibilitiesOriginate portfolio loans, government loans, HELOCs (Home Equity Line of Credit), and fixed rate loans which are sold on the secondary market.Generate residential loans in targeted areas by actively promoting the Bank’s CRA lending effortsIdentify the customer’s needs, analyze the loan request, financial data and offer recommendations on mortgage loan productsParticipate and/or lead community related events to create relationships with area Realtors, Builders, Community Action Groups and others who actively conduct business within the targeted communitiesJoin and establish relationships with non-profit organizations, Board of Realtors, Home Builders Associations, city and state housing agencies and any other public forums to generate and increase first time buyer and CRA lending opportunitiesHost local home buyer education events for the public and provide program and product awareness training for bank partners, Realtors, builders, non-profits, etc., geared toward the housing needs of the local communities, especially first-time home buyersMinimize risk exposure ensuring Community Home Loan Lenders adhere to all federal, state, and internal compliance regulations, policies, and proceduresMaintain a comprehensive knowledge base of the mortgage industry, mortgage products, lending practices and regulatory guidelines especially programs and products which are beneficial to the local communitiesUnderstand and follow the Park National Bank lending policy, procedures and underwriting requirementsMaintain awareness of and adherence to Bank’s compliance requirements and risk management concepts, expectations, policies and procedures and apply them to daily tasksDeliver a consistent, high level of service within our Serving More standardsOther duties as assignedCOMPETENCIESInterpersonal/Customer Service SkillsWritten and Verbal CommunicationAbility to understand and follow directionsAdaptable to changeBasic Computer SkillsAnalytical ThinkingProblem/Situation AnalysisTechnical ExpertiseAbility to build collaborative relationshipsAbility to develop or mentor othersEducation And ExperienceBachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferredMinimum of a high school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 2-4 years' experience in the mortgage lending process: processing, underwriting, closing, and originatingNMLS SAFE Act Registration or the ability to be registered within 30 days required.SCHEDULEThis position is salary and exempt. Responsibilities extend beyond traditional office hours; seven days a week and evening hours are at times required.Travel will be required to meet with clients, Realtors, & community leadersThis position is eligible for a flexible work arrangement allowing work from office and remote locations.
