This role leads material flow processes and is responsible for master scheduling, parts planning, production planning and production control. Leadership of the teams will ensure compliance to all applicable customer & engineering requirements and standards, maintaining a safe work environment, employee development and engagement, and adherence to the project execution plan supporting on-time delivery to customers. This leadership role must demonstrate and coach enterprise leadership mindset behaviors, facilitating a process transformation and cultural transformation across the Springville site. Travel is expected to be less than 20%.\n\nPRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES:\n\nProvide leadership as well as strategic and tactical direction to the Planning, team in support of the Springville business objectives.\nEstablish and maintain an effective team communication and performance management process to ensure daily visibility to team performance, confirmation of standard work processes, proactive and robust problem solving of deviations, and on-going coaching and continuous improvement..\nDirects production planning, materials, capacity, and scheduling requirements. Use of sales forecast to drive right sized inventory levels through forecasting and use of SIOP.\nDevelops Plan for Every Part (PFEP) for the facility to minimize inventory and maintain material flow throughout the facility. Including, but not limited to, transaction history management, reorder and safety stock strategies.\nDevelop projects to improve overall inventory levels, OTD, and past due metrics.\nStrategically engage with sales and commercial operations to maintain market lead times, by forecasting inventory and managing capacity\nCreates production schedules and prioritizes for production optimization of both capacity, productivity, OTD, and CORE customer expectations\nMaintenance of planning BOMs in ERP system\nData analytics and decision making to support planning and operations teams in KPIs\nMonitor and manage obsolete and excess inventories\nEnsure cross-functional collaboration within the materials teams as well as throughout the facility\nDevelop a culture of employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, accountability, and job satisfaction to make the Springville site an employer of choice. Attract, identify, develop, and retain organization talent in an ongoing effort to support the talent management philosophy of the site. This includes all facets of talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, role clarity, and employee learning and development.\nLead the implementation of employee training programs and career development activities so that the team is continually enhancing their performance capabilities.\nContinuously evaluate the team structure, staffing levels, and capabilities to ensure the resources are adequate for current and proposed operating plans.\nAs a site leader, demonstrate unwavering commitment to the Flowserve Values and Behaviors, driving a culture of high-performance in the way we think, act, and operate. Maintain strict adherence to the Flowserve Code of Conduct, and flow down the same expectations throughout the Materials organization.\n\nREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES\n\nBachelor’s degree in an engineering, operations, or business-related field.
