We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.\nWe are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to help sustain the fleet of robots rolling our incremental improvements targeted to improve reliability, design and feature improvements.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign parts in 3D CAD that satisfy load conditions, industrial design form factor, and durability requirements.\nBuild prototypes to test assembly, range of motion, wire routing.\nGenerate accurate 2D drawings using GD&T per ASME Y14.5.\nInspect first articles, build test stands, and continuously support part on robot development platforms.\nRequirements:\n5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering\nBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Biomechanical, Robotics, Mechatronics, or similar field\nExpert in using 3D CAD software to design parts with complex geometry\nExperience designing and building prototypes\nExperienced with simulation and analysis methodology (FEA, MATLAB etc.)\nAbility to write and maintain clean documentation for design processes.\nExperience with electromechanical integration, such as sensors, motors, motor drivers, wire harnesses, and communication buses.\nBonus Qualifications:\nExperience with high volume manufacturing processes.\nExperience working with contract manufacturers.\nCATIA V6 Experience\nWire harness design experience\nThe US base salary range for this full-time position is between $120,000 - $180,000 annually.\nThe pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role.
