You will be accountable for team performance, engineering execution, and the delivery of measurable customer outcomes. This role partners closely with Product Management, Architecture, and peer engineering leaders to set technical direction, strengthen operating rhythm, and foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and built-in quality.\n\nWhat You Will Do:\n\nLead, coach, and develop engineers through clear expectations, regular feedback, performance management, and career growth plans.\nBuild and sustain high-performing teams: hiring, onboarding, resource planning, and succession planning aligned to product and platform strategy.\nOwn delivery outcomes across one or more teams: predictable execution, transparent reporting, and effective risk/issue management.\nEmbed a culture of built-in quality through engineering excellence practices (e.g., automated testing, code review, SRE/operability, and continuous improvement).\nDefine, track, and improve key engineering metrics (throughput, quality, reliability, and customer impact) and use data to drive decisions.\nPartner with Product, UX, Architecture, and integration teams to align technical roadmap, architecture, and feature delivery to customer and business strategy.\nDrive technical strategy within your area of ownership—balancing new capability delivery with platform health, scalability, security, and technical debt reduction.\nAnticipate and mitigate delivery and technical risks; resolve cross-team dependencies and remove impediments to sustained flow.\nMaintain strong technical credibility across modern product development practices (cloud, distributed systems, DevOps, security, mobile, data/analytics) to guide decision-making and coach teams.\n\nWhat You Will Have:\n\nManaging People: Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace.\nTechnical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.\nProject Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.\nCollaborating Globally: Knowledge of effective collaboration techniques and ability to build networks with people from different countries and cultures, think and work with them to bring positive impact and flourishing business results.\nDecision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment\n\nConsiderations For Top Candidates:\n\nProven people leadership experience in a modern software engineering environment across the full product lifecycle, with accountability for team performance, hiring, coaching, scaling teams, delivery practices, and continuous improvement.\nDomain knowledge in mining technology and operational environments (or the ability to learn complex industrial domains quickly).\nProven delivery leadership using Agile and DevOps practices in commercial product environments, with a strong focus on reliability, security, and customer value.\nProven delivery leadership using Agile and DevOps practices in commercial product environments, with a strong focus on reliability, security, and customer value.\nWorking knowledge of modern delivery frameworks and methods (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe) and when to apply them pragmatically.\nStrong customer orientation and experience shaping technical strategy and roadmaps in partnership with product and business leaders.\n\nAdditional Information:\n\nThis position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Irving, TX office.\nDomestic relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.\nVisa sponsorship is NOT available with this position.\nThis position will require up to 10% of Domestic & International travel\n#LI\n\nSummary Pay Range:\n\n$147,760.00 - $221,640.00\n\nCompensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
