The Director, Marketing Strategy & Operations will partner closely with senior marketing leadership on day-to-day business management, strategic planning, governance, and operational excellence across multiple marketing disciplines on a global scale.This role serves as a key right-hand partner to marketing leadership, helping drive clarity, accountability, and coordination across a dynamic, fast-paced function. The ideal candidate combines strategic marketing insight, operational rigor, and strong relationship management skills and thrives in a performance-driven environment.The position will work closely with broader business operations leadership to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and operational consistency across the enterprise.Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing Strategy & PlanningOperationalize the organization's marketing strategy by translating strategic priorities into actionable plans, frameworks, and KPIs that drive consistent execution across regions and channels.Leverage research, audience insights, and competitive analysis to develop frameworks that support marketing positioning, content development, and go-to-market strategies.Support governance processes, ensuring disciplined planning, execution, and reporting across global marketing teams.Marketing Operations & ExecutionDefine operational processes and workflow optimization across marketing functions, driving efficiency, scalability, and best practices in campaign management, budget tracking, and resource allocation.Integrate AI-driven marketing technologies and platforms into workflows to improve efficiency, streamline execution, and enhance decision-making.Develop and maintain executive reporting dashboards, presentations, and business reviews.Manage budget-to-actual tracking for marketing initiatives, aligning investments with ROI objectives and business outcomes.Monitor performance metrics, CRM data integrity, and enablement tools to ensure data-driven decision-making and accountability.Agency, Vendor & Partner ManagementIdentify, evaluate, and manage external agency and vendor relationships spanning creative services, research, consulting, and marketing technology partners.Serve as the primary point of contact for agency engagements related to key initiatives, coordinating stakeholder input and approvals to ensure alignment and timely execution.Negotiate contracts and scopes of work, ensuring value, accountability, and cost efficiency.Establish processes for ongoing evaluation of external partners to maintain high standards of delivery and innovation.Partner with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure cohesive execution and brand consistency across all channels.Stakeholder & Team LeadershipServe as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to marketing leadership, providing insights on team effectiveness, operational progress, and organizational priorities.Collaborate across Marketing, Product, Communications, Finance, Human Resources, and other cross-functional teams to align initiatives and shared objectives.Build strong relationships throughout the organization to enhance collaboration and communication.Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture centered on partnership, accountability, and excellence.Minimum Requirements7-10 years of experience in marketing strategy, operations, business management, or related functions.Strong understanding of financial services, investment management, asset management, or similarly regulated industries preferred.Demonstrated success leading operational processes, managing budgets, and implementing scalable systems.Experience managing agency and vendor relationships, including evaluation, contract negotiation, and performance management.Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills; proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, CRM systems, and marketing automation tools.High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and discretion when handling confidential information.Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a lean, fast-paced environment.Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to operational excellence and partnership.
