If the deadline is extended, we will update this posting.\nOverview of Role:\nReporting to the Design Engineering Manager, the Lead Design Engineer will be an important member of the Engineering team within Product Development. This role will design components that enable the future of performance fit and participate in the full product development process from initial concept generation to production. This role will be the technical engineering leader on our most complex projects, setting the technical direction, overseeing a team of Design Engineers, and providing technical guidance and mentorship to other project team members. In addition, this role will be a hands-on member of the team, designing and developing assigned components and sub-systems. Typically, this role will be focused on the development phase of projects, with a handoff to more junior Design Engineers as the technical direction is set and the product begins transitioning to manufacturing. When needed, however, this role should be able to effectively execute any project phase. This role will also contribute to the development of production tooling and ramp-up to mass production.
