Leading a team at a vibrant indoor theme park, our General Managers orchestrate WONDERful experiences through strategic planning and dynamic leadership. From optimizing operations and enhancing guest relations to driving profitability and innovation, they ensure every visitor journey exceeds expectations, making magic happen both behind the scenes and at every exhibit.Responsibilities:Develops and implements policies and procedures for departmental operations, customers, personnel and community relationsFormulates pricing policies for sale of tickets and merchandise or implements established policiesReviews operating and financial statements and departmental sales records to determine merchandising activities that require additional sales promotion, clearance sales, or other sales procedures to turn over merchandise and achieve profitability and merchandising objectivesManages, directs, and supervises the operation management team ensuring the proper procedure and policy is followed for tasks and projects assignedCoordinates activities of non-merchandising departments such as purchasing, credit, accounting, and advertising with merchandising departments to obtain optimum efficiency of operations with minimum costs in order to maximize profitsDirect operations activities and sets performance goals accordinglyCoaches managers including selection, orientation, training and development, and performance managementPlans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction and acquisitionsThrough the supervision of the Operations Management team, provide customer service in a timely and responsive manner, assure attraction runs smoothly, staffed adequately and morale is maintainedRepresents the company in a professional mannerDevelops strategies and initiatives to fulfill company's mission, increase its audience, and ensure financial stability and growthPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Ability to multi-task, work independently, and make reasonable & ethical decisions quickly within a fast-paced environment• Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skillsAbility to comprehend written and verbal communicationAbility to work any shift including nights, weekends, holidays, and weather conditionsStrong computer and Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)Proven cash-handling experienceStrong network of contacts within the industry preferredValid driver's license and clean driving record7+ years of Operations Management in Hospitality, Entertainment or Theme Park experience required to allow for optimal success5+ years of experience supervising/leading a teamAbility to climb, bend, kneel, sit, stoop, stand, and walk throughout the work area for prolonged periodsAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 poundsJob Type: Full-TimeWonderWorks is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
