Orthopedics Physician Assistant

An established orthopedic practice in western Connecticut is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. Work alongside a team of board-certified physicians and APPs. Candidates with previous surgical experience as well as recent graduates with orthopedic rotations are welcome to apply.Responsibilities:Full-time permanent position - Danbury, CT officeMonday-Friday schedule - mix of clinic, hospital and first assist dutiesConduct thorough patient evaluations and assessmentsDiagnose musculoskeletal conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory testsDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans for patientsPrescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy or rehabilitationMonitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as neededCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated careTake call on a monthly basisQualifications:CT State License or ability to obtain oneKnowledge of orthopedic surgery, treatments and terminologyStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectivelyProficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systemsBenefits:Competitive base salaryHealth insurance401(k)PTOCME allowanceMalpractice insuranceNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
