Construction Litigation Legal AssistantOrlando, FL (Hybrid after 90 days)$65,000 - $75,000 annually37.5-hour work weekAbout the RoleA well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Construction Litigation Legal Assistant to support a busy team of attorneys. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and has a strong understanding of litigation processes.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day support to attorneys and paralegals in construction litigation mattersManage client communication and assist with administrative inquiriesOpen new matters, process conflicts checks, and maintain case filesCoordinate scheduling for hearings, depositions, mediations, and meetingsPrepare, proofread, and format legal documents including motions, notices, and correspondenceE-file documents in state and federal courtsMaintain and organize electronic files within a document management systemHandle attorney time entry and assist with monthly billing processesPrepare expense reports and assist with accounting-related tasksCoordinate travel, meetings, and conference room logisticsAssist with court filings, courtesy copies, and hearing preparationEnsure compliance with Bar requirements, CLEs, and court admissionsOversee file closing, ensuring all invoices and funds are properly handledQualificationsMinimum 5+ years of legal assistant experience in a law firm or corporate legal environmentStrong knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and Federal Rules of Civil ProcedureExcellent organizational skills with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced settingStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)Experience with iManage, FileSite, and Aderant is a plusTyping speed of 60+ WPM with strong transcription skillsEducationAssociate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field requiredBachelor's degree preferredWhy Apply?Hybrid flexibility after 90 daysCompetitive salary and stable work schedule (37.5 hours/week)Opportunity to work with a collaborative and respected legal teamExposure to complex and engaging construction litigation mattersEqual Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected VeteransThe Know Your Rights poster is available here:https://www.eeoc.gov/sites/default/files/2023-06/22-088_EEOC_KnowYourRights6.12.pdfThe pay transparency policy is available here:https://www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov/files/ofccp/pdf/pay-transp_%20English_formattedESQA508c.pdfFor temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, AppleOne is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.We are committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
