This role blends hands-on software development with quality assurance experience, requiring a technically strong engineer who ensures high code quality, maintains robust testing practices, and partners with our development team to deliver reliable, scalable applications. You will support the development team while maintaining strong review and testing discipline.\nKey responsibilities\nBuild and maintain user interfaces using modern frameworks (Next.js with React preferred)\nDevelop server-side logic and APIs, ensuring clean design, security, and efficiency.\nDefine QA strategies that incorporate AI-generated code and tests, ensuring reliability even as tooling evolves.\nChampion automated testing strategies: design, author, and maintain automated tests (UI, API, integration, performance).\nConduct rigorous code reviews for peers and AI-assisted output, providing constructive feedback and maintaining high quality standards.\nSupport development of robust, scalable full-stack applications across front-end and back-end systems.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (UX/UI, product, DevOps) to deliver high-impact features.\nTroubleshoot and resolve production issues; drive continuous improvement.\nAnalyze results of tests, track defects, produce reports, and follow through on resolutions.\n\nRequired qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).\n4 years of experience plus min experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.\n5+ years of professional experience in full-stack roles with proven QA/testing work.\nExperience with backend languages and frameworks (Python & FastAPI preferred).\nDemonstrated ability to design automated test frameworks, including API, integration, and UI testing tools.\nExpertise with AWS services and cloud-native application deployment.\nProficient with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.\nDeep experience with code review processes and QA best practices.\n\nPreferred qualifications\nMaster’s Degree\n7+ years of professional experience in full-stack roles with proven QA/testing work.\nExperience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or similar hybrid role.\nFamiliarity with performance, security, and load testing tools.\nExperience integrating testing within agile development workflows.\nFamiliarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred).\nAdditional Information\nVirtual within the continental U.S.; support or collaboration across multiple time zones; may include travel up to 25%\nMust be eligible to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship for an employment visa or any other type of US work authorization\nAccessHope is proud to offer a range of benefits to support your health, finances, and work-life balance, including:\nMedical, Dental, and Vision Coverage\n401(k) Plan with Employer Match\nPaid Time Off (PTO)\nParental Leave\nShort-Term Disability\nVoluntary Benefits (e.g., life insurance, additional coverage options)\nRemote work schedule\nWe’re dedicated to helping our employees thrive in all aspects of life.\nThe estimated pay scale represents the typical pay range AccessHope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This post includes a pay range that represents a ‘good faith wage range’ and applies to the current posting only.\nAccessHope is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
