This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who can independently manage technical tasks, support project delivery, and assist with construction and contract administration. The selected candidate will work closely with project managers and senior engineers to help deliver projects on schedule and within budget, while maintaining a high standard of technical quality.\nResponsibilities\nSupport execution of civil/environmental engineering projects from planning through construction\nPrepare and review technical documents including design plans, specifications, reports, and submittals\nAssist with project scheduling, cost estimating, and budgeting\nSupport development of contract documents, bid packages, and procurement efforts\nPerform and/or oversee construction administration tasks, including:\nSubmittal and shop drawing review\nResponding to RFIs\nField inspections and construction oversight\nChange order and pay application review\nCoordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to support project delivery\nParticipate in field activities such as site inspections, sampling, and contractor oversight\nEnsure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations\nSupport project managers with scope, schedule, and budget tracking\nMentor junior staff and contribute to team development as appropriate\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering\n5–10 years of relevant professional experience\nMinimum 5 years of construction-related experience (construction oversight, inspection, or administration)\nExperience with project scheduling and coordination, cost estimating and quantity takeoffs, and contracting, bid support, and procurement\nStrong understanding of civil/environmental design and construction practices\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and within a team\nAbility to travel regionally to project sites, with occasional travel beyond the region as needed\nSelf-motivated with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges\nNote: This position requires specific driving duties. You must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.\nDesired Qualifications\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain)\nPrior project management or task management experience\nExperience with environmental site investigation and remediation projects\nFamiliarity with federal and/or state regulatory programs (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, state programs)\nOSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and/or OSHA 10/30-hour construction training\nExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, or similar tools\nUse of AI in the Application Process:\nApplications should represent your own work and experience.
