This position is ideal for a cleared engineer with a strong background in network analysis and Python scripting who is ready to contribute to a high-impact mission.\r\nUp to 60% telework is available.\r\nWhat You Will Be Doing\r\nLeading analytic software development efforts supporting cyber defense initiatives.\r\nWriting scripts and automation tools using Python for network analysis, parsing, and data enrichment.\r\nParsing protocol and file formats and developing analytic fingerprints and plugins for Agency tools.\r\nAnalyzing passive network traffic (e.g., pcap) with tools such as Wireshark.\r\nApplying deep knowledge of common network protocols (TCP, UDP, ICMP, HTTP, SMTP, SSH).\r\nSupporting secure and scalable analytic solutions in mission-critical environments.\r\nCollaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to modernize cyber capabilities.\r\nRequired Skills\r\n20+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, including work on analytic or cyber systems.\r\nAdvanced proficiency in Python for scripting, data manipulation, and integration tasks.\r\nUnderstanding of network exploitation techniques and associated analysis tools.\r\nExperience analyzing packet capture (pcap) data with passive tools such as Wireshark.\r\nAbility to identify and parse network protocols and file formats for use in analytic workflows.\r\nFamiliarity with developing analytic fingerprints and plugins for Agency processing systems.\r\nAbility to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.\r\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.\r\nSecurity Clearance: Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.\r\nSalary Range\r\n$190,000 – $230,000\r\nThe provided salary range is an approximation based on current market data and may vary.
