The engineer develops the architecture, designs circuits and/or HDL, performs simulations, performs physical layout, verifies and tests designs.\n\nJob Description:\n\nDuties/Responsibilities\n\nDesign and simulate circuits at transistor-level to implement architecture and requirement specifications\n\nContribute to system-level design\n\nOptimize hardware designs for performance, power, and cost\n\nEvaluate the hardware feasibility of complex algorithms and requirements\n\nContribute to complex chip architectures and designs\n\nParticipate in efforts to drive solutions to complex problems - develop requirements, propose ways forward when customer requirements are unclear or incomplete, and adapt appropriately to changes in requirements\n\nPerform or guide physical layout, including floor-planning, and simulate circuits using extracted parasitics.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nSkills/Abilities\n\nProficiency in integrated circuit design\n\nUnderstanding of integrated circuits, semiconductors, and general computer architecture\n\nAbility to learn and strive to become an expert in IC design related fields\n\nAbility to write detailed design specifications\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n\nExcellent mathematical skills\n\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail\n\nExcellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\n\nAbility to prioritize tasks\n\nDemonstrate strong organization, planning, and time management skills to achieve program goals\n\nEducation\nRequires a bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field.
