Certified Personal Trainer
Job Overview
We are seeking a certified, motivated, and patient-centered Personal Trainer to join a multidisciplinary medical office. This role is ideal for a fitness professional who thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment and is passionate about integrating exercise with overall wellness and medical care.
The Personal Trainer will work alongside healthcare providers (such as physicians, physical therapists, chiropractors, and other wellness professionals) to deliver safe, effective, and personalized fitness programs. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and corrective exercise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to helping clients improve strength, mobility, and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments, including movement screening and health history review, in coordination with the clinical team
Develop individualized exercise programs tailored to each client’s medical considerations, fitness level, and wellness goals
Deliver one-on-one personal training sessions with an emphasis on proper technique, safety, and injury prevention
Lead small group or wellness-based fitness sessions as appropriate within a medical setting
Educate clients on body mechanics, posture, mobility, strength training, and sustainable lifestyle habits
Track client progress, document outcomes, and modify programs to support continued improvement and recovery
Collaborate with multidisciplinary providers to ensure continuity of care and alignment with treatment plans
Support wellness program participation and promote the value of personal training services within the practice
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training environment that meets medical office standards
Stay current with evidence-based fitness practices, certifications, and industry trends relevant to medical fitness
Skills & Qualifications
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and body mechanics
Experience in personal training, medical fitness, corrective exercise, or group fitness instruction
Ability to work with diverse populations, including individuals with injuries, chronic conditions, or limited mobility
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients and healthcare staff
Demonstrated ability to motivate and educate clients in a supportive, professional manner
Understanding of program design tailored to rehabilitation, prevention, and long-term wellness
Sales and client engagement skills related to fitness and wellness services are a plus
Experience working in a multidisciplinary or healthcare-based setting is preferred
Current nationally recognized Personal Training Certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA) is required
CPR/AED certification required
