Bellefontaine Rd, Hamilton, IN 46742 USA\n\nWorkplace Type: On-site\n\nEmployment Type: Hourly | Full-Time\n\nFunction: Manufacturing Production / Distribution\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled\n\nMain Duties & Responsibilities\n\nPosition Summary:\n\nThe Tool Maker fabricates, maintains and repairs progressive and transfer stamping dies, injection mold tooling and other support equipment with minimal supervision using manual machines in the Tool Room. Other tasks are assigned as necessary to ensure production requirements are met.\n\n The hours for this shift are Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm with some weekends.\n\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nMaintain a safe and healthy work practice by observing safely procedures and practices.\nMaintain all dies, support equipment, injection mold tooling preventive maintenance and troubleshooting problems.\nFabricate details using blueprints, sketches, oral instructions using Manual Mills, Lathes and Grinders.\nEffectively read detailed blueprints and fabricate parts to specified tolerances using a variety of materials and processes.\nResponsible for documenting all changes made to tools.\nProperly troubleshoot tooling defects and eliminate all possible causes for production downtime.\nExecute engineering changes and improvements in the tools for customer complaints.\nFollow the work order system, including capture and print work orders in the Work Order system, perform the following instructions order filling and posting progress specifying the order in the die/injection molds daily.\nMust be a Team oriented player & work well with others.\nMust have own basic set of precision/hand tools.\nReporting on the performance of the quality management system and on opportunities for improvement to management.\nEnsuring the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization and in particular, your area of responsibility.\nEnsuring that the integrity of the quality management system is maintained when changes to the quality management system are planned and implemented.\nEnsuring that the processes are delivering their intended outputs.\nSupport all EHS activities and strictly adhere to all work instructions and safety procedures.\nImmediately report any unsafe or unhealthy working condition to your supervisor/leadership.\n\nPhysical Demands/Work Environment:\n\nMust be able to stand or walk on concrete for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.\n\nOn-Site: This role is required to be on-site 5-6 days at the Hamilton, IN location.\n\nQualifications\n\nQualifications and Skills:\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\n4 years’ experience working in a (manufacturing) tool & die shop running lathes, milling machines and grinders holding close tolerances\nMust be able to read and interpret mold and die prints\nMust be proficient using all measuring devices required to work in tool shop\nExperience in working in a fast paced, high-volume environment\n\nPreferred Qualifications Skills:\n\nDOL Journeyman, preferred\nTechnical background in injection molding and/or steel manufacturing.\n\nCompensation\n\nThe expected pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hour depending on experience. $2.00 shift premium applies.
