Our client is a well-established and growing CCBHC looking for a Part-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for their clinics in the New York, NY area. This is a part-time position, 3 days a week, 100% on-site, Harlem area. Preferred QualificationsExperience treating children that are ages 8 and under.Master's degree in nursing from an accredited nurse practitioner program is required.Currently licensed in New York State as an Independent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. (3600 hours complete)Active DEA Number (NYS)Currently enrolled in NY Medicaid and Medicare. ResponsibilitiesProvide advanced psychiatric nursing care as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, under the supervision of a psychiatrist (if required due to state collaborative practice agreement guidelines).Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children ages 8 and under, including psychosocial, developmental, and trauma histories.Diagnose mental health conditions using DSM-5 criteria and support the development of individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.Provide crisis assessment, risk assessment, and intervention when clinically indicated.Apply trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices when working with children, adolescents, and families.Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications while assessing therapeutic response and side effects.
