Substation Engineer

Substation Engineer (Multi Level Posting)Provides complex engineering services for the planning, design and construction of new substation facilities and project additions to the clients energy delivery system.Complex engineering services may include; resolving conflicting design requirements, use of unconventional materials and coordination difficulty.Provides technical project management on larger scope projects for all phases of work including scheduling, design, estimates, engineering specifications, drawings, construction contracts, cost tracking, project cost projections and safety.Conducts complex technical studies and investigations and prepares oral and written reports. (5%)Provides technical project management for certain phases of a substation project including scheduling, design, cost estimates, engineering specifications, drawings, materials procurement, construction contracts, cost tracking and project cost projections.Provides substation engineering assistance to other departments.Provides technical input to assist in project planning.Responsibilities include applying prescribed methods and standard practices in performing specific tasks within substation projects and assisting engineering staff on more complex projects.
