We also work as specialty structural engineers on structural insulated panels, heavy timber framing, and other structural systems. Projects are located in forty-five states, but significant travel is not required.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nProject Management: Interact with current and potential clients, establish scopes of work for projects, manage project schedules, and sign/seal your construction documents.\n\nStructural Design: Provide accurate, appropriately detailed calculations for structural systems typically in steel, concrete, wood and masonry; supervise creation of construction documents for these projects in accordance with company standards.\n\nStructural Analysis/Investigation: Visit project sites to field measure structure; investigate existing construction to ascertain structural conditions; use collected information and provide calculations as necessary to render opinions regarding structural condition and feasibility of additions or renovations as directed by the Client; and provide thorough, professionally written letters and reports documenting work.\n\nSoftware: Model structures in engineering software as necessary to accomplish the work above.\n\nReport to the project principals to keep them informed on project progress.\n\nQualifications:\n\n5 years of experience or more in structural engineering\n\nRegistration in at least one state with the ability to become registered in others\n\nBachelor of Science degree in structural engineering, civil engineering or architectural engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering from an ABET accredited institution (Master of Science degree is a plus)\n\nGood communications and writing skills\n\nAbility to work both independently and in a team environment\n\nAbility to quickly and easily adapt to changing priorities\n\nSalary based on skills and qualifications (exempt position with straight time pay for overtime)\n\nPaid holiday, vacation and sick time off\n\nCompany paid medical, vision, and dental insurance with employee funded Health Savings Account\n\nCompany paid short- and long-term disability insurance\n\nRetirement plan with company matching\n\nCompany paid continuing education, licensure fees, and membership in professional organizations.\n\nFlexible work schedule with limited overtime\n\nQualified candidates should submit a PDF cover letter specific to this position with a PDF resume.\n\nAbout Pinnacle Engineering\nWith over 30 years of crafting custom structural engineering solutions, Pinnacle Engineering is a firm focused on innovation and quality.
