Top 3 Non-Negotiable Skills:Liquid handling systems experience Lab automation experience Programming experience Position Overview:Join a team developing state-of-the-art automation systems to support cell culture facilities, as well as biophysical and mass spectrometry instrumentation. This role contributes to the next phase of automation development while supporting day-to-day operations. The position combines hands-on robotic operations, method development, validation, data integration, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:Operate and validate robotic runs; monitor performance, document deviations, and drive corrective actions Collaborate with multidisciplinary scientists to translate manual workflows into automated processes Create, optimize, maintain, and continuously improve high-throughput workflows using liquid-handling robots and integrated automation workcells Expand capabilities of existing automation systems by introducing new functionalities Troubleshoot laboratory automation issues by coordinating with internal SMEs and external vendors; perform root cause analysis Document best practices and share knowledge within the automation team Train and support end-users to independently execute automated workflows Required Skills & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Minimum 3+ years of programming experience (Python, JavaScript, R, C++/C#) and/or lab automation schedulers (Green Button Go, Cellario) Experience with liquid handling systems (e.g., Hamilton, Tecan, Beckman) Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities effectively Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Preferred Skills & Experience:Advanced degree Experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping
