Operates forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in warehouse area. Follows regulatory requirements. May require certification. May use technology (PCs, scanners, etc.) to complete job tasks.Applicable Skills/Experience:• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with others• Self-starting with high focus on Safety and Quality• Mechanical ability/aptitude/awareness - helpful• Awareness of working around machinery – helpful• Experience/knowledge of shift work expectations• Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish set goals• Forklift driving experience – highly preferred• Warehouse experience – highly preferred• Prior forklift certification – preferred• Ability to count accurately when moving inventory• Ability to read scales• Ability to multi-task and detailed oriented• Being alert and aware when driving the forklift in a safe manner• Ability to work in tighter, confined spaces with a forkliftEquipment/Attire Requirement:• Steel-toe over the ankle work boot (worker responsibility)• Hi-Visibility hard hat (provided)• General purpose gloves (provided)• Hi-Visibility safety vest (provided)• Safety eyewear (provided)• Long pants of durable material (jeans preferred)• Shirt with sleeves, minimum to cover shoulder (no loose clothing)Duties are as follows but not limited to:Professional, accident-free operation of the forklift, and the precise keeping of the forklift inspections.Systematic maintenance and cleaning of the forkliftContinuous tracking of the location of goods during material handling using WMS.
