For more information about DAWSON, please visit dawsonohana.com.Salary Range: $26-$30 Per HourThis position is Service Contract Act which is subject to Health & Welfare benefitsSUMMARY: General Maintenance workers are responsible for inspecting and identifying equipment or machines in need of repair, troubleshooting electrical issues to determine necessary repairs, and performing general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. This includes tasks like repairing drywall, painting, fixing doors, and maintaining building systems. Workers will perform routine maintenance on equipment, patch minor holes in walls, repair or replace sinks and toilets, paint structures, and replace damaged flooring.Duties And ResponsibilitiesInspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair.Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.Perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings.Replaces electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.Uses minor plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceiling.Repairs or replaces sinks, water coolers, and toilets.Paints structures and equipment.Replaces or repairs concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks.Carry out janitorial duties, including cleaning, dusting, mopping, and maintaining the facilityHangs doors, installs door locks, and replaces broken window panes.Perform groundskeeping, landscaping, and exterior maintenance when required.Performs general maintenance on equipment and machinery.Inspect buildings and equipment for needed maintenance or repairs.Performs other related duties as assigned by management.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.QualificationsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.Computer skills required: Basic computer skillsMechanical AptitudeApplied analytical skills to recognize when a specialized trade is needed for various tasksAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.Strong troubleshooting abilitiesPhysical Demands And Work EnvironmentFrequently required to standFrequently required to walkOccasionally required to sitContinually required to utilize hand and finger dexterityFrequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawlContinually required to talk or hearOccasionally required to taste or smellOccasionally work near moving mechanical partsOccasionally work in high, precarious placesOccasionally around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicalsOccasionally exposure to outside weather conditionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderateThe employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focusDAWSON is an Equal Opportunity/VEVRAA federal contractor.
