AWS Geospatial Software EngineerOpportunityAs an AWS Geospatial Software Engineer, you can resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end geospatial solution in a fast, agile environment. We're looking for an experienced developer with the skills needed to develop software and systems from vision to production-ready. The position expects familiarity with geospatial data processing and development of spatial algorithms at scale.This role is more than just coding. You'll use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You'll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You'll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.You Have5+ years of experience in software with a cloud-first development approach5+ years of experience with back-end development, including back-end languages such as Java, Python, Go, or C++, and front-end languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, or CSS3+ years of experience with enterprise application development focused on geospatial data processing and spatial algorithm development3+ years of experience with AWS services and cloud-native architecture patterns, including ECS/EKS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM policies, security groups, and network security3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, including AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormationExperience working with containerization, including Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS/EKS, and container orchestrationExperience developing and deploying production geospatial applications from concept to O&MTS/SCI clearance with a polygraphBachelor's degreeNice If You HaveExperience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentationExperience with database administration and optimization, including RDS, DynamoDB, or MongoDBExperience with serverless architecture such as Lambda and API GatewayExperience leading technical initiatives in large-scale environmentsExperience with system design, with focus on scalability and reliabilityExperience developing Geospatial UIs, implementing DevOps mechanisms for projects, and designing and implementing UI for artificial intelligence or machine learning applicationsKnowledge of security best practices and compliance requirementsAWS Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer CertificationsIAT Level II+ Certification such as Security+ or CISSP CertificationsClearanceApplicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.CompensationSalary Range: $86,800 to $198,000 (annualized USD).
