Title: Response to Intervention (RTI) TeacherPay Scale: HB2 Teacher Salary ScaleCalendar Days: 187Reports to: Campus AdministrationSUMMARY: Coordinate all Response to Intervention (RTI) planning, implementation, and follow-up; provide information and guidance to teachers and schools; implement and maintain services within established guidelines and standards; direct data collection to determine program effectiveness; train existing and new district employees in implementing the RTI model, and provide supervision and guidance as needed and/or assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Education/certificationBachelor's Degree from accredited university or collegeValid Texas Teacher Certification in early childhood or related fieldsCampus leadership experienceStrong curriculum background in effective instructionAt least five years successful teaching experience preferredExperience in data reporting and management information systemsSpecial Knowledge and Skills:Master teacher who has both content and instructional expertise particularly in reading, writing and/ or math.Good command of classroom management strategies and structures.Effective communicator who possesses traits that foster positive relationships and collaborative conversations.Knowledge of the teaching and learning cycle and has a "proven" record of student achievement.Has a "growth mind-set." Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTResponsible for coordinating the implementation of the district's RTI process.Monitors implementation of the RTI process to ensure that the model and intervention are implemented with fidelity.Coordinate the collections and analysis of relevant data, including universal screeners, academic risk indicators, student progress information to insure process fidelity.Assists campus teachers in a collaborative model of observation, conversation, and lesson planning, to analyze and reflect on their practice and related data to promote quality instructional practices.Assist campus teachers in aligning their campus with TEKS & SEs driven lessons/activities and assessments.Models effective differentiated instructional strategies.Meets with school administration and leadership team on a regular basis to examine data, share patterns and trends, discuss implementation progress, develop actions, etc.Uses data from a variety of sources to inform and guide RTI planning and implementation.Work with school personnel in the RTI process by providing support in determining Students' Needs, Instructional delivery and arrangements, related Intervention Plan and Campus Student Support Team services.Prepares a variety of program related reports for the purpose of documenting activities, conveying information and ensuring program requirements are met in an effective and timely manner.PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATIONMaintains a positive and effective relationship with supervisors.Works and learns collaboratively and collegially with teachers, curriculum specialists, and district specialists.Maintain high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality or information.Complies with all District and local campus routines and regulations.Effectively communicates with colleagues, students, and parents.Demonstrates the ability to empathize, listen, and build trusting relationships.Establishes systems of on-going communication with others (newsletters, websites, etc.)III. ADMINISTRATION AND CONSULTATIONPossesses traits that foster positive relationships and collaborative conversations.Provides a "growth" mindset when consulting with teachers so teachers view learning as opportunities for improvement.Observes teachers during intervention group instruction and/or RtI2 problem solving sessions and provides feedback /coaching, modeling and strategies for optimum teaching delivery and student results.Provides model lesson instruction to teachers to elevate the teacher's ability to provide optimum teaching delivery, intervention, rigorous and comprehensive lessons.Assist schools in preparing and administering screeners, interpreting the data gathered, and determining tier two and tier three interventions.PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENTParticipate in deliver, and/or lead meetings, in high quality professional development and seminars that provide best practice instruction and prescriptive intervention for students who are at-risk in subject area.Provides regular professional learning to groups of teachers demonstrating instructional best practices.Participates in staff development and professional growth activities.SCHOOL COMMUNITY RELATIONSArticulates the District's mission and goals in the area of the core academic subject to the community and solicit its support in realizing the mission.Provides opportunities for others to expand and refine the understanding of RTI process, TEKS, and SE about research based effective instruction.Demonstrates awareness of District-community needs and initiate activities to meet those identified needs.Job Demands* Physical Tasks - Occasional: standing, walking, climbing, bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, reaching above, repetitive motion of hand, wrist, elbow, working at heights, carrying, lifting-lowering 1- 30 lbs. +.* Physical Exposure - Occasional cold and heat.* Chemical Exposure - Limited exposure.OtherPerforms other tasks and assumes such responsibilities as may be assigned by the Campus Principal or designee.
