This individual will play a critical role in designing and optimizing networking infrastructure on-prem and in cloud for Skylo's commercial network ensuring seamless integration between business needs and technology.\r\nHow You Will Contribute\r\nSpecify & design network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.\r\nDesign technical specifications for IP addressing, subnets & VLANs.\r\nDesign technical specifications for networking redundancies using VRRP, BGP and OSPF.\r\nDesign technical specifications for Layer 2 technologies like Link Aggregation (LAG) and LACP.\r\nDesign virtual networking solutions across on-prem and public cloud environments (AWS, GCP).\r\nDesign and optimize Kubernetes Container Network Interfaces (CNI) such as Calico, Cilium, or Flannel.\r\nDevelop robust and scalable routing policies and tables with virtual/physical routers and switches.\r\nDesign comprehensive networking security strategies.\r\nMonitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to ensure high availability and scalability.\r\nCollaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Security teams to support network requirements in CI/CD and cloud-native deployments.\r\nDocument network architecture, configurations, and procedures for compliance, support and training purposes.\r\nConduct proof-of-solutions to validate technical proposals.\r\nWhat We Look For\r\n10+ years of experience in cellular and non-cellular telecom domains.\r\nHands-on experience in TCP/IP, network routing and redundancy, and network tunnelling protocols.\r\nHands-on experience with network connection aggregation technologies (e.g. LAG, LACP).\r\nKnowledge with configuration and optimisations of network hardware such as switches, routers, firewalls and LAN/WAN systems.\r\nExperience working with public cloud networking (AWS VPCs, Azure VNets, GCP networking, etc.).\r\nProficiency with virtual networking in cloud and virtualization platforms (VMware NSX, Hyper-V, etc.).\r\nPractical knowledge of Kubernetes CNI plugins and container networking.\r\nFamiliarity with network monitoring and automation tools (e.g., NetBox, Ansible, Terraform).\r\nStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills.\r\nGeneral knowledge of satellite based communication over LEO & GEO is a plus.\r\nIndustry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS, or equivalent is preferred.\r\nWhat We Offer\r\nCompetitive compensation packages including a stock option based equity program.\r\nMonthly allowances for wellness and education reimbursement.\r\nA generous time-off policy, holidays, and the opportunity to temporarily work abroad.\r\nOnce in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of developing and running the world's first commercial, live direct-to-device satellite network and service.\r\nAccess to world-class team and talent across tech domains: software, hardware, chipsets, telecom, satellite and network virtualization.\r\nAdditional information\r\nThe compensation range for this position is $180,000 - $195,000 + equity .
